The FCC+ Training Went by

I went through the required module on FCC requirements to host a show on KEOS this evening. Mostly it was a lecture on the paperwork the FCC requires KEOS to keep if they are to remain in compliance with federal regulations. The indecency requirement may be a problem, because "The Dark Prince" has a great deal of profanity in it. I had hoped for using a 2-4pm slot, but I may just have to accept a 10pm-midnight slot.

The safe harbor for profane and indecent language is the 10pm to 6am period. The FCC has made it clear that they will not fine stations that keep it clean in the 6am-10pm period. We shall see what happens.
