Oh, some of you don't know the joke about whitewashing the fence. Tom Sawyer is a book written by Mark Twain. Tom invited people to help him whitewash a fence. He made work fun. He invited his friends to pay for the privilege of whitewashing that fence. I'm not sure I can do that with you. You'd truly have to be a special person to want to do that. "I reckon there ain't one boy in a thousand, maybe two thousand, that can do it the way it's got to be done."
What I am getting at here is that in our rush to make OUR lives better, we have decided that the government can provide for our every need... that someone else will take care of the social problems. That's idiocy. A government that big would wipe out our freedoms... and produce no results anyway. If you do not believe that, I cannot help you. I can simply refer you to Cuba. Yeah, Cuban citizens have so-called great health care, but they have to worry about feeding their families. One of the jokes in Havana is that Cubans are really well educated. You can find way too many PhD's who have to work as prostitutes, because there just isn't too much call in Cuba for specialists in Lower Slavonic languages.
Of course no one starves in Cuba. No one has to worry about bosses giving them a hard time about not working hard. They don't have anyone die when a hurricane hits the island. Life is so much better than anywhere in the US. Or so many on the Left tell you. I always wonder why so many Cubans try to escape the island. Doesn't make sense to me, but maybe it makes sense to you... Wait... I remember now... The Left has the belief that Cuba is a paradise, BUT even in a paradise, there are those who will not get with the program... Yes, that is it. The escapees from Cuba are simply malcontents who do not represent the rest of Cuban society. Given a choice the vast majority of Cuban people would vote for a Communist government. Communism is the wave of the future. The Cubans will lead the way... If you believe any of the above about Cuba, please, I beg of you, stop drinking the water you use to wash out your bong. It's REALLY bad for you.
